Like most people, I grew up thinking that the only path to success was to graduate, get a stable job, and work my way up. I even had a scholarship to study engineering at NUS, with opportunities to pursue an Ivy League education.
But something didn’t sit right. I saw people stuck in the corporate grind, waiting years for promotions, trapped in a cycle of working just to make ends meet. I wanted something different—more control, more freedom, and a career that rewarded effort, not just time served.
